Warehouse Manager
McHale’s is looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee the daily operations of our warehouse and support our HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and kitchen & bath remodeling teams. In this role, you’ll take ownership of warehouse operations, inventory control, and fleet coordination-working closely with vendors and internal teams to ensure everything runs smoothly and efficiently. You'll play a critical role in supporting field operations by managing materials, maintaining accountability systems, and keeping our facility and fleet in top shape. Warehouse Responsibilities:
- Lead warehouse operations by managing daily activities and staff to optimize efficiency and enhance workflow.
- Review, revise and oversee all warehouse processes, including inventory management, cycle counting and replenishment to ensure accurate and timely stock levels.
- Manage necessary supplier and vendor relationships to facilitate inventory management.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for material pricing and equipment listings in Service Titan.
- Set clear and measurable goals and KPIs for all team members involved in inventory management, ensuring accountability and performance improvement.
- Ensure all materials are properly labeled and that current MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets) are maintained, accessible, and compliant with safety regulations
- Conduct regular safety training and inspections to uphold safety standards and mitigate risks.
- Manage personal protective equipment (PPE) for all staff, ensuring compliance with safety protocols within the warehouse.
- Coordinate job site deliveries by managing warehouse staff, ensuring smooth and on-time deliveries to support project timelines.
- Control essential warehouse functions such as waste disposal, building security, and office sanitization, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
- Manage / coordinate other facilities-related tasks and services (e.g., snow removal, ice melt application, landscaping), as needed.
Fleet Responsibilities:
- Oversee comprehensive vehicle maintenance and record-keeping, including tracking, scheduling, and coordinating both internal mechanics and external vendors to ensure vehicle reliability.
- Leverage online technologies (fleet telematics) for recordkeeping and fleet performance tracking.
- Provide telematics information to Managers for follow-up with technicians, as needed.
- Manage the entire vehicle procurement, maintenance, and disposal process, ensuring cost-effective purchasing, efficient maintenance scheduling and coordination, timely disposal, and optimal fleet performance.
- Lead truck inventory management, overseeing cycle counting, inventory setup, and replenishment processes to maintain accurate stock levels and operational efficiency.
- Supervise staff handling order coordination and fulfillment preparation (coordinators, tech/install crews), ensuring timely and accurate material requests are fulfilled.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Familiarity with lean manufacturing, quality control systems and/or APICS-certification materials management protocols is also a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as either a Warehouse Manager or a Senior Warehouse Associate with experience in a distribution or manufacturing facility or company that supports over 100 employees or > $25 million in annual revenue.
- Minimum of 2 years' proven experience working with fleet is a plus. Experience with fleet telematics software (Verizon, Azuga, Lytx, etc.) and driving safety programs is required.
- Strong understanding of and experience with computer-based, perpetual inventory systems (e.g., Oracle). Previous experience using Service Titan (or another industry-based platform)
- Working knowledge of basic Human Resources / Personnel management protocols
- Competency in Microsoft applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Must be able to work daily in the McHale's office based in Levittown, PA.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs without accommodation.
- A valid driver's license with no major infractions.
- Experience operating a forklift.
- Ability to multitask deadlines with frequent interruptions.
- Small engine repair and maintenance knowledge preferred.
